Police Look For SUV In Attempted Child Kidnapping - Patch.com
Detectives with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Division are looking for an SUV they say was involved in an attempted child abduction Tuesday morning in the Towne Lake community. The SUV is a two-door white vehicle, possibly with red paint, rust or red dirt on the bottom side of its driver’s side door. According to an email sent by the Cherokee County School District, the child allegedly targeted is a student at E. T. Booth Middle School was “waiting at the bus stop when approached by an unknown white male in a white SUV. The alleged driver is described as a clean-shaven white male with short, gray hair. The man was also described as sporting a black tattoo on his left bicep that resembled a possible tribal marking. The tag of the vehicle is unknown, but the SUV is described as resembling a Mercury Mountaineer, an older model two-door Ford Explorer or Honda Element.
