Early 1980s : Tauraso opens Gotach Center for Holistic Medicine, which was the subject of a heated zoning debate. 2006 : Tauraso sells Tauraso's to Danny Cruz, who renames the establishment Danielle's. He reopens the medical practice, but incorporates traditional medicine as well, making it a medical clinic. August 2010 : The Maryland State Board of Physicians suspends Tauraso's medical license after allegations that he prescirbed high dosages of OxyContin. Tauraso's medical clinic closes. November 2010 : Fire destroys Tauraso's medical clinic, located at 7051 Poole Jones Road. Damage to the property was estimated at $500,000. 2011 : The Maryland State Board of Physicians permanently revokes Tauraso's medical license. July 2015 : Tauraso is arrested on July 8 by agents from the DEA. Tauraso makes an initial appearance in the U. S. District Court in Baltimore on July 9, where he was formally notified of the charges in a recently unsealed grand jury indictment: health care fraud, narcotics conspiracy and 22 counts of...
