Isuzu is recalling certain 1998-2002 Rodeos and 2002 Axiom vehicles, and Honda is recalling certain 1998-2002 Honda Passports,... The recall affects vehicles that were originally sold or are currently registered in 21 states and the District of Columbia where road de-icing materials may have corroded the left or right rear suspension lower link bracket earlier than expected. The affected states are Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin,... a reinforcement bracket will be installed if corrosion has damaged the bracket and its connection to the vehicle frame. A vehicle older than 10 years will be repaired for free only if it is brought to an Isuzu or Honda dealer within 12 months of notification. There’s also no word on what locations Isuzu owners will be directed to since the brand no longer maintains new-car dealerships in the U. S.
