Thief takes control of radio cars - Pueblo Chieftain

-- Six radio control cars worth more than $3,600 were reportedly taken sometime Friday from the garage of a home on U. S. 50 East in Boone. Trevor Summers reported to a Pueblo County sheriff’s deputy that he had left the home Friday morning and when he returned later that evening he discovered someone had broken into his garage and had taken the six radio control cars. Summers also reported some copper items along with scrap metal that was outside the garage also was taken. Ron Cothran reported to police that Saturday evening someone broke into his home on the 100 block of Pennwood Lane and took more than $5,420 worth of items. Two televisions and assorted jewelry were reportedly taken late Saturday night from a home on the 2000 block of West 18th Street. William Merritt reported to police that his 2001 Chevrolet Trailblazer was taken while it was parked on the 400 block of West 29th Street. He estimated the value of the vehicle at $2,000. Albert Metoyer said a 1993 Honda Accord was taken from the 100 block of East Routt Avenue. Metoyer also estimated the value of the vehicle at $2,000. In the Downtown area, Paul Carriere reported a 1990 Honda CRX, valued at $2,000, was taken while parked in the 200 block of West 23rd Street. Source: www.chieftain.com
