An Orient man was arrested for drunk driving early Saturday morning, according to a police report. • Someone stole $190 worth of produce from a farm stand in Peconic last Thursday, police said. A witness reported seeing a man in a 2004 Honda Odyssey take the produce without paying, according to the police report. The suspect took $100 worth of tomatoes, $35 worth of watermelon, $35 worth of peaches and $20 worth of cantaloupe, police said. • A $380 moped was taken from a Mattituck residence last week, according to a police report. The Piagg brand moped was taken from the Cox Neck Road property sometime between last Tuesday and last Thursday, police said. • A Laurel man who was caught trespassing on Robins Island last Wednesday afternoon said he was unaware the island was private property, according to a police report. A complainant called police to report the man refused to leave the eastern beach of the island, police said. Officers told him that Robins Island is privately owned, so Southold Town beach rules do not apply, the report stated. Source: suffolktimes.timesreview.com
