DAYTON—A Preston woman has been charged with driving under the influence after crashing her minivan into a freight train Thursday morning near this Franklin County town. Authorities said Brandy Jo Johnson was driving eastbound and did not stop for warning lights at the crossing before impacting the southbound Union Pacific train. Franklin County sheriff's deputies cited her for DUI following the crash but further details on why she was charged were not available Thursday.
