A 51-year-old Newburg man was killed Thursday evening after he was struck by two cars while walking near U. S. 301 and Route 5. According to Maryland State Police, at about 10:30 p. m. , Johnny J. Phelps was walking in the road at northbound... Phelps was thrown across two lanes on U. S. 301 and was struck a second time by a 1998 Honda Accord, driven by Mark L.
