NYPD officers lauded for arrest of murder suspect - Newsday

She had a GPS app on her phone which could track her car, she said, but the phone was in the vehicle. Officer Adam Riddick, who previously worked for Apple as a technical repair specialist, used his own phone to download the Linksup app and quickly saw that the car, a 2014 Honda Pilot, was heading over the Brooklyn Bridge. Riddick, who lives in Brooklyn, pursued the vehicle joined by his partners, Andrew Vlasaty and Eric Skoglund, both of Suffolk County, officials said. After making the arrest, the officers learned that Gregory was wanted for murder and other crimes in Raleigh, North Carolina. According to Raleigh police, Gregory is wanted for the Monday night shooting death of a pawn shop owner and the rape of a 15-year-old girl afterward. No shots were fired during the arrest, but Vlasaty, a four-year cop, said Gregory had been armed with a loaded. Source: www.newsday.com
