A head-on collision in Palo Cedro Friday night, caused by an alleged DUI driver, killed the drivers of both vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said James York, 24, was driving his 1991 GMC pickup under the influence around 9:50 p. m. westbound in the eastbound lane of Highway 44, east of Gilbert Road, at a high rate of speed without his headlights on.
