Cause of Aloha crash that killed 1, injured 7 remains under investigation - OregonLive.com

Preliminary investigation suggests that he didn't try to slow down or stop, Ray said. The crash sent at least seven people to the hospital and killed 20-year-old Cassandra Stolzenberger, of Hillsboro, according to the sheriff's office. Wagner was among those seriously injured and was taken to OHSU Hospital in Portland, but he has since been discharged, a hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday. Detectives spoke with him at the hospital Tuesday night, Ray said. It's possible that Wagner could have suffered from a medical issue before the crash, Ray said. "I've never seen anything that extensive or that damaging or chaotic involving a car crash -- ever," Ray said. He didn't brake for the stopped traffic west of 185 Avenue, Ray said, and a 1995 Honda Civic was among the first cars he hit. Stolzenberger, a Century High School graduate, was seated in the front passenger seat of the car and died at the scene, Ray said. By Wednesday morning, dozens of Stolzenberger's friends had posted messages of mourning and about their love for her on her Facebook page and through messages on Twitter. Wagner's truck and trailer were loaded with appliances, tools and other items, Ray said, and it appeared as if he was moving. Source: www.oregonlive.com
