1992 - 2005 Honda Civic Valve Cover Bolt Set D16Y8 D16Z6 D16Y7 D17A1 1.6L 1.7L OEM Used. The main need for these bolts other than the look and corrosion resistnce of the chrome is because the rubber seals will over time rot and crack and rip into pieces causing a valve cover oil leak . I sell these in bulk with a free OEM d16 style oil cap that is in good used condition. Each bolt is inspected so the seals are in good shape as well as the threads are not stripped . I always suggest to clean the rubber seals with a scrub pad and hot water, let them dry, and use the correct amount of honda bond with the install process and torque them to spec so they are not over or under tightend.
*****PLEASE NOTE ! these are shown as cleaned up with hot water and dish detergent and I used a double sided dish pad to achieve this level of clean, It took me a few minutes per bolt/ Not everyone is interested in having them clean they just need a part that doesnt leak and isnt stripped , So I send these out with grime on them . Again there will be no major corrosion , no stripped threads and the seals will be in very good condition with no rips or splits...Clean them to your liking or bolt on as is .
Very popular upgrade for the d16Y and Z heads as well , as the factory bolts from that time are corroded typicly from being so old,as well as early generation d17 bolts are not chrome and are prone to massive corrosion. This was honda's last upgrade to the d series lineup to address the bolt leakage and corrosion issues on the popular d16yz vtec enginges and d17 engine line up in this exact bolt kit.
