The wreck happened at 8:15 a. m. , Wednesday on an area of Gladesville Road about 100 feet from Gordon Church Road in Preston County. According to first responders on the scene, the driver of a 2010 Hyundai Accent reportedly lost control on the wet roadway, crashing and knocking over a utility pole. Mon Power meter reader Rick Walker was in the neighborhood at the time of the wreck and said he immediately stopped traffic going both ways on Gladesville Road. “Our meter readers are also trained as hazard responders,” Mon Power spokesman Todd Myers said.
