Auto Review: Hyundai's winter-busting Santa Fe - Hartford Courant

The evolution of Hyundai as a manufacturer, and their Santa Fe SUV in particular, is a story of taking something average and making it world-class. The quality, features, and performance of the brand and the Santa Fe have increased dramatically over the years, and starting with the 2013 model year they split this popular crossover SUV in two, figuratively speaking. The original version of the Santa Fe became the Santa Fe Sport, and Hyundai created a new, longer wheelbase Santa Fe with room enough for a third-row seat and 6- or 7-occupant capability. We tested a 2015 Santa Fe Limited AWD, which rides on a long 110. 2-inch wheelbase (4 inches longer than the Santa Fe Sport) and comes standard with a 3. 3-liter Lambda II V6 with Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) and 290 horsepower. With the winter behaving like we were somewhere in Alaska instead of Connecticut, the Santa Fe did quite well even in deeper snow, and overall stability was quite good. These two alterations give the Santa Fe very sure handling and commendably compliant ride quality, and along with a solid rattle-free. Source: www.courant.com
