Smyrna motorcyclist killed in crash - The News Journal
The crash occurred around 4:50 p. m. on Central Church Road and Kenton Road, Master Cpl. Hemphill, 62, was northbound on a 2014 Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle on Kenton Road approaching Central Church Road behind two cars. August, 55, of Smyrna, was westboung on Central Church Road in a 2009 Hyundai Elantra, preparing to turn southbound on Kenton Road, Fournier said. As the two vehicles in front of the motorcycle turned eastbound onto Central Church Road, the Hyundai pulled into the intersection from the stop sign and into the path of the motorcycle. The Harley then struck the left front corner of the Elantra, and Hemphill was thrown into the roadway, police said. Kenton Road at Central Church Road was closed for approximately three hours as the crash was investigated and cleared. Source: www.delawareonline.com
