Hyundai today announced pricing for its redesigned seventh-generation 2016 Sonata Hybrid starting at $26,100 plus destination totaling $26,825. Above the base Hybrid trim level is a Hybrid Limited starting at $30,100 plus destination and Hybrid... These prices are in line with the existing $26,000-plus-destination 2015 Sonata Hybrid’s starting point and the car is beginning sale nationwide now, and ahead of a plug-in hybrid version pending this fall. Hyundai says EPA fuel economy for the hybrid has improved 10 percent to 40 city, 44 highway, 42 combined for the most efficient Hybrid trim, and subtract 1 mpg each for the Limited. The vehicle otherwise promises features and design in line with existing Hyundai Sonata siblings and is the automaker’s bid to compete against hybrid cars including the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Ford Fusion, and new 2016 Chevy Malibu Hybrid.
