Juarez driver found with nine pounds of meth at El Paso border crossing - KFOX El Paso

EL PASO, Texas – A nervous driver trying to enter into the country from Mexico at an El Paso border crossing led officers to find more than nine pounds of methamphetamine, officials said. Erik Alexis Ortega Molina, of Juarez, was driving a 1998 Hyundai Tiburon when he entered the Paso Del Norte international crossing around 6 p. m. Sunday, officials said. “The primary CBP officer on duty was thorough and focused and was able to identify this vehicle and driver as needing additional scrutiny,” said Beverly Good, CBP El Paso port director. Officials said they found about nine pounds of meth in the bundles, and the drugs had an estimated street value of more than $200,000. Molina was turned over to U. S.
