Land Rover has taken a stand. This outlandish trailer-born device, which visited Dunedin last month, is purpose-designed to demonstrate, without any need to hit the dirt, the astounding breadth of extreme-terrain capability inherent to a brand that has produced two million... Yes, we've come to this and, admittedly, it sounds a bit daft that, rather than invite them to a prearranged paddock, Land Rover instead takes customers to the centre of town so they can try every kind of Land Rover, even the very large indeed... That the Terrapod has arrived in tune with the launch of the Discovery Sport is interesting. This new model, despite being better equipped for muck than the Freelander it replaces, is nonetheless specifically aimed at people who would not have previously considered this brand and might not, therefore, have interest in core capabilities.
