Man in stable condition after accidentally shooting himself in the abdomen - Eureka Times Standard
On 08-23-2015 at 10:20 a. m. Deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Davenport Lane Fieldbrook, regarding an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound to a 43 year old male. The victim was associated with a 1987, brown, Mazda pickup truck. Deputies searched the area where the victim told medical staff he had shot himself. Neither deputies nor medical staff was able to locate the firearm. At the hospital deputies attempted to interview the victim for the exact location where the firearm was located. If anyone locates a firearm in the Fieldbrook area, please do not touch the firearm, which may be still loaded. The public is advised to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately if they locate a firearm.
