This replacement soft top comes in Twillfast RPC Cloth, A specialized sound cancelling material in Titan Grey with black dobby backing, made by Haartz, the original manufacturer. Most materials in this top are made in the USA including the glass window and Twillfast RPC material, with some parts imported from Europe. This top uses a DOT approved Pilkington glass window which matches up to the size and weight dimensions of the original window, unlike the fragile, low quality glass you will see on other aftermarket Audi TT tops on the market. Our manufacturing process utilizes only the most advanced sewing machines, laser cutters, and even robots to produce small batches of perfect tops. Types of fabrics made by Haartz, the original manufacturer of Convertible top fabrics:
German A5 - $$$ - a 3 layer canvas made up of polyester, rubber, and cotton. Most expensive, less stretchy. Found on factory Porsche, Mercedes, etc. tops.
Twillfast RPC - $$ - Identical to A5 in appearance, made in USA. This material uses a thicker rubber core to increase durability and reduce exterior noise entering the cabin. The longest lasting, stretchiest, most modern canvas available. We use this canvas on all our tops to ensure a long lasting top that will withstand hot weather and wear and tear. Originally supplied to Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc.
