It was removed from a 2012 Audi TT but maybe will work on 2008 thru 2012 TT and R8 base of my research but do your own research as I am not responsible for wrong fitment. Please check to make sure as I will not give refund if it does not work on your car due to you know your car better as I describe as much as I can.
The mirror is in good working condition and the auto dimming is in working condition. The compass work perfectly. This unit is for the rain sensor option model with a bigger mount. The cable mount cover between the mirror to the headliner show in the pictures is not include, please use your existing one. The plug has 6 pins inside and to mount and unmount the mirror by turning the unit clockwise to install and remove. Please double check to make sure the connector and mount is correct as there is an 6 pins plug version as well. Please email me if you have any question as I will try my best to answer you. It is in black color.
The auto dimming will darken the mirror automatically when the cars behind you or on the side is too bright or with high bean as well as cars from opposite direction with to bright headlight or high bean. It will then clears back to normal when the brightness reduce from cars in front or behind automatically.
