GM Recalls Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Spark, Saab 9-4X, Stops Sales Of Chevrolet ... - Washington Post

Over the past few days, General Motors has issued new recalls and clarified details about existing recalls that affect more than 500,000 vehicles around the globe. Including the latter, GM has initiated some 75 recalls since the beginning of the year. RECALL #1: 2010-2015 Cadillac SRX, 2011-2012 Saab 9-4X. UNITS AFFECTED: 430,550 (290,107 in the U. S. ). This recall was issued September 17, but according to Detroit News , full details were just distributed last week. The rear toe link adjuster bolts on some of the vehicles included in this recall may not have been screwed on tight enough. GM hasn't issued a timeline for this recall. RECALL #2: 2013-2015 Chevrolet Spark & Chevrolet Spark EV. UNITS AFFECTED: 93,834 (89,294 in the U. S. ). Detroit News reports that this recall stems from a potential build-up of rust on the Spark's hood latch. GM hasn't issued a timeline for this recall either. It appears that the company is waiting for the delivery of properly rust-proof parts, which will be used to replace the faulty latches on recalled vehicles. Until that time, GM won't allow any of the 2015 models included in the recall to be delivered to buyers. Source: www.washingtonpost.com
