Car show rolls into Willows - Appeal-Democrat

The two-day car and bike show kicked off Friday night with a parade and street dance in downtown Willows. Judging got underway Saturday when more cars and bikes from up and down California rolled into Jensen Park. Ron Lim of Redding won the Best of Show in the car division with his 1970 Plymouth Road Runner. "I never intended this to be a show car," said Lim, owner of Lim's Pharmacy in Redding. Lim said about seven years of work has gone into the restoration of the pink and black muscle car, built by Doug Reed at Reed's Auto Body & Paint in Redding. The Road Runner, which has a classic exterior but a modern interior, has been picking up awards up and down California and Oregon since Lim starting showing it in 2013.
