3 injured in 2-vehicle crash in Goshen Township - WKBN.com
GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol said alcohol use, illegal passing and not wearing a seat belt were all factors in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon. Troopers said the crash occurred just after 5:30 p. m. on state Route 165 near where an accident occurred earlier in the day at state Route 45. According to a news release from the patrol, George Carr, 58, of Berlin Center, was driving a 2009 Ford... The patrol said Wolfe attempted to pass Carr on the left in a no passing zone when he struck the Fusion. The Ford Explorer rolled over several times, ejecting Wolfe and his passenger, Robert Kastanek, 31, also of Salem. Wolfe and Kastanek were taken to a local hospital by medical helicopter with serious injuries. Carr was taken to local hospital by a family member, the patrol said. The State Highway Patrol reconstruction Unit and the Ohio Investigative Unit are assisting with this investigation.
