Report: 2 kidnapped, robbed at gunpoint in Troup County - LaGrange Daily News

Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help identifying a suspect that may have helped a man commit a vicious crime. Stewart Smith, spokesman at the TCSO, and so far had narrowed down the location of the incident to the east side of the county. One of the victims sustained broken bones in their facial region, according to a TCSO report. TCSO investigators arrested Aaron Creed, 29, of Troup County. Creed was being held in the Troup County Jail charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery. Investigators said an unknown black male may have assisted Creed in this crime. If anyone has information regarding this case please, they are asked to call TCSO Investigators at 706-883-1616 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000. Woman allegedly attacked by two females. A woman told police two females made good on their threats to beat her up, and they came to her home in the 900 block of Mooty Bridge Road around 7:15 p. m. The gals hiked in Gooseberry Falls and the Temperance River, and also enjoyed... Sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Sedora Underdahl, who passed away at the Sunset Home last week. Sedora was such a nice lady who had a lot of friends and was always fun to visit with. On Friday, Gwen Springer, Helen Sathre and I spent the day in Red Wing. We did some shopping at the Uff Da Store and the shops in the St. James Hotel, and then hit the Pottery Building for a little antiquing. On Sunday, Julie and Maggie Broin, Helen Wagner, Connie Barrett, Jean Overby, and Marlys Syverson all enjoyed brunch together at The Fireside in Dennison. That sounds like a fun crew to get together with. Ron and Kris Mills spent this past weekend at their cabin on Turtle Lake. The delegation heard mixed news in learning that even though their municipal joint action agency is offering stable rates and operating from its strongest financial position in its 27 year history, proposed U. S. Environmental Protection Agency... The EPA is in the process of setting rules that decrease CO2 emissions 30 percent nationally by 2030. These rules establish carbon reductions for each state. In comparison, Iowa is set at 16 percent, North Dakota at 11 and 30 percent for the entire nation. According to presenters from CMMPA and from the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, a regional transmission organization that operates the grid, a regional compliance approach to reduce carbon would cost 40 percent less than an approach... However, the more expensive state-by-state regulatory scheme might be the only option available because states with low reduction targets will want to shield their customers from costs associated with cooperating with states assigned a higher CO2...
