Briefs: Man sought in scam of elderly woman - Jackson Sun
A man who portrayed himself as 49-year-old Clarence Worley approached an elderly Weakley County woman July 27 and offered to clean the vinyl siding on her house for $300, and stated if extra chemicals were needed it would be no more than $1000.... After this was reported to the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department by a concerned citizen an investigation found that Worley is wanted in Carlisle County, Kentucky, for the same type of crime. Worley was driving a light silver pickup truck that may have been a Dodge. A man Worley identified as his business partner was driving a white colored pickup truck that may have been a Ford. Investigators from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department have drawn warrants charging 49-year-old Clarence Worley with a felony count of theft over $1,000 and are seeking information about the identity of the other people involved.
