• Universal fit for 1948-1953 Dodge B-Series Trucks! Removed from a 1949 Dodge B1B pickup. May fit many other 1940s Dodge trucks too. Mounts to rear truck frame, under the cargo bed, to sling a tire just forward of the tailgate / rear bumper area (see sample installation photo). Rust free, rock solid part from the high desert.
• This is a REALLY hard to find STOCK OEM MoPar item; get it while you can. GREAT way to carry the spare tire so it's hidden from sight, but easy to get to.
• Details:
- Easily accommodates 15" or 16" rims and 30" tall tires.
See sample installation photo with LT215/85R16 radial truck tire (30.4" height, 8.5" section width). - 41-3/4" overall length of the entire bracket, end-to-end.
- 27" x 8" plate supports your spare tire; has a raised centering bracket to nest into your rim for a secure fit.
- Very robust part. Hefty thick-walled steel; weighs about 16 Lbs.
- 2-1/4" offset on one end, the disconnect end (re: this end bolts to your threaded rod with wingnut),
This end mounts to the driver side, aft end of your truck frame. - Opposite end bolts to your threaded rod into the forward cross member (on its passenger side).
See sample installation photo.
