Prosecutors say Mirelez had 23 nanograms of THC, the psychoactive chemical found in marijuana, in his blood at the time of the incident. On May 2, Mirelez was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer east on Van Belle Road, about 2 miles east of Granger when he swerved to avoid a dog, according to a Washington State Patrol news release. Mirelez lost control of the car, which went off the road and flipped over, the State Patrol reported. Mirelez’s 3-year-old daughter was in the car but only had minor injuries, according to the affidavit.
