Star's Cars - Sydney Swans' Jarrad McVeigh - The Sunshine Coast Daily

Resume: An obvious Australian Rules talent from a young age, McVeigh was joint winner of the McLean Medal for best player at the National AFL U16 Championships is 2001, and was recruited by the Sydney Swans with fifth selection in the 2002 AFL Draft. A one club man, McVeigh won the Bob Skilton Medal as the Swans' Best and Fairest in 2008, was appointed co-captain in 2011, and captained the Swans to the 2012 premiership. SYDNEY Swans superstar Jarrad McVeigh has come a long way on the personal transport front since joining the NSW AFL club as a teenager. Now, with over 250 games under his belt, he's a man with a family car high on space and luxury, and a good dose of performance too. What was your first car. A blue Mitsubishi Lancer. It was a manual, so as my first car, driving in Sydney was quite tough. I'm driving a Volkswagen Touareg R-Line and I absolutely love it. Easy to drive, I feel safe in the car and for a large 4WD it handles corners extremely well. What cars did your family have while you were growing up. We had a Toyota LandCruiser, which was great for loading up for surfing trips or taking all of our friends to footy training. We travelled an hour and-a-half to training, so we spent many hours on the highway in that car. Source: www.sunshinecoastdaily.com.au
