Mountain View school board hires firm to conduct audit - San Jose Mercury News

MOUNTAIN VIEW -- Mountain View-Whisman School District Superintendent Ayinde Rudolph received permission from the Board of Trustees on Aug. One is to hire Cambridge Education, a consulting firm, to conduct on-site performance assessments at district schools this year. "We want to understand why schools perform the way they do," Rudolph said. Board President Ellen Wheeler welcomed the proposal, saying that the board appointed Rudolph in part for his ability to procure donations from local tech firms. The board voted 4-1 to approve the proposal. In other business, the board voted 4-1 to approve a half-time public information officer position. Rudolph said the PIO's duties would include alerting the public and press about happenings in the district and managing its website and social media outreach.
