Jasper man allegedly attempts to set woman on fire during domestic - Dubois County Free Press

Jasper — A Jasper man was arrested after he allegedly attempted to set a female victim on fire after he poured alcohol on her during a domestic dispute Sunday morning. The Jasper Police Department arrested Kyle B. Holtrust, 27, of 349 W. Sixth St. on seven felony and misdemeanor charges after being called at 4:49 a. m. to the domestic incident on the 300 block of West Sixth Street. Officers then made contact with the female victim who said Holtrust punched her in the face while pulling her hair and yelling obscenities. Police were told Holtrust had poured a bottle of alcohol on the victim and attempted to set her on fire, allegedly stating he was going to kill her. Authorities booked Holtrust into the Dubois County Security Center on a Level 3 felony count of aggravated battery, a Level 5 felony count of intimidation, a Level 6 felony count of intimidation of a hospital employee and misdemeanor counts of...
