But the easy cruising ride of such a large truck comes at a price: This particular Silverado, seen in the video above, is rated at 15 miles per gallon in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. That fuel economy comes from Chevrolet's 5. 3L V-8 Ecotec3 egnine, which in this case was mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. On the 4WD Silverado 1500, it gets 420 horsepower and 460 lb. -ft. of torque, and can trailer 9,200 lbs. With those options and others, this particular Silverado is priced at $57,405. .
