Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: Cemetery on watch list - Boothbay Register

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following: On July 21, Deputy First Class Mark Bridgham responded to a report of criminal mischief to the Highland Cemetery in Jefferson. The complainant stated that there have been a couple of incidents: one was the theft of an antique urn that held a person’s ashes, and another where someone(s) built a fire pit and left empty burnt beer cans. This property will be placed on the property watch list. On July 22, Deputy First Class Mark Bridgham responded to a report of a theft of two 5-gallon containers of gas from his residence in the Jefferson area. On July 22, Deputy Joel Seekins responded to a reported theft of a small utility trailer in the Dresden area. The complainant stated that on July 20 he had used the trailer to tow household trash for pick up and noticed it missing on July 22. Value: $200. Further investigation to follow. On July 22, Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was dispatched to a reported theft of an outboard motor from a residence in the Dresden area. The complainant stated that when he left for working at 8 a. m. , this date, the outboard (1991 Mercury, 8 hp, value: $800) was still attached to his boat, but when he returned that afternoon, it was missing. On July 24, Deputy Justin Drake received a report from a citizen in the Boothbay area in reference to a mountain bike which had been left on her property a week earlier.
