Since its inaugural issue in July 2006, The Surge has featured hundreds of folks who live and work on the Grand Strand in our Working 4 a Living profiles. Tony Klimas: Vigilance on the Beach When Tony Klimas arrived on the Grand Strand in 2000, he was looking for a change. He was living in Central Florida at the time, delivering milk for a living. “Believe it or not, I was a milkman, and it was probably the hardest job I ever had in my life,” he said, adding that the image of the guy dressed in white with a bow tie, delivering glass bottles to waiting families in the suburbs is a long dead...
