McQueen reportedly used the truck for camping trips, but his most famous journey in it took place on November 3, 1980. The Reverend Billy Graham accompanied McQueen from his home to Ventura County Airport to depart for El Paso, Tex. McQueen died in Ciudad Juarez a few days later on November 7th. Bids for the truck start at $50,000, and the auction runs through Monday, August 24th. The owner says that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Boys Republic, the organization...
