Ford began partnering with the Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 1999, producing special limited edition F-150 haulers. The 2008 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Special Edition truck is the third supercharged model and is also the most powerful F-Series factory truck ever. The special Harley-themed pickup celebrates both Ford's and Harley-Davidson's 105th anniversaries with lots of added bling, in the form of unique badging and custom treatments inside and out. The Harley-Davidson truck actually begins life as an F-150 4x2 SuperCrew Lariat, 139-inch wheelbase, half-ton Styleside model pickup (an all-wheel drive model is optionally available). Power for the flashy truck comes from either Ford's 5. 4-liter, 300-horsepower, SOHC Triton V8 as standard, or the engine may be fitted with an optional Saleen supercharger performance package setup for an additional $6,575. The commemorative truck is available with either a monochromatic black exterior, or a two-tone black with Vintage Copper stripe treatment that runs from the front door around the rear of the truck, set off by orange and gold accent stripes.
