On the night of May 1, 14-year-old Taizaun Dewitt was shot and killed at a home on the 2800 block of Collins Circle. Horry County Police initially said they were looking for a “person of interest” in connection with the shooting. The next day, he was charged with murder fin connection with the shooting death of Dewitt, who was hit under the left eye, according to HCPD Lt. Raul Denis and a police report. Police have not released a motive for the shooting and Dewitt’s cousin, Kenny Dewitt, said the family is seeking answers. At around 2:35 a. m. Saturday, a 28-year-old man, Eugene Delong, was shot and killed inside a home on Bill Grissett Road in Loris, according to Horry County deputy coroner Michelle McSpadden. Denis said that shooting took place during an apparent robbery attempt. On Friday night, not far from the Longs and Loris areas, 21-year-old Nigeria McDonald was shot. Denis said that shooting occurred around 7:30 p. m. on Racepath Street in Myrtle Beach. On Saturday, James A. Wilson, 22, of North Myrtle Beach was taken into custody in connection with the killing, according to Denis. • Don Terrell Simmons, a 28-year-old from Loris, was gunned down outside Club Ciroc, an unlicensed nightspot in a shopping plaza on S.
