They see personality quirks and become friends no matter what. I've been involved with Camp Fire and this camp for years, and I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it's been for my kids. They learned to start cooking fires- and friendships, nature skills - and leadership skills, how to handle camping in the rain - and how to live with people who aren't like you. I've seen kids who couldn't spend a night away from home grow into camp counselors, kids who hated the outdoors volunteer for a 5 day backpacking trip, kids who were afraid of the water become lifeguards.
