The Nelson County Sheriff's Department is asking residents to stay vigilant as they are investigating a series of mini-mart burglaries by a bold criminal. According to the Nelson County Sheriff's Department, the suspect is no stranger to crime. "Busy Bee got hit roughly at 2:05 a. m. , and the second store that got hit was the In-and-Out Mart at 2:08,” Ramon Pineiroa, with Nelson County Sheriff Department, said. Pineiroa said is this hooded suspect's mode of operation is to be quick, bold, and focused on gaining cash. Early Thursday morning, he crashed the doors of the Busy Bee Market on north 3rd Street in Bardstown and stole cash. Investigators said he then went farther northeast to Fairfield Groceries. "So they went and came around to the back door, and they threw a rock in and climbed through the hole, and they tried to take the ATM, couldn't budge it, so they grabbed the cash box and ran out the back door," Joanna Hardin, a store clerk at...
