Uniform changes alter fantasy value for many players - GoErie.com

It"s been a wacky seven months since the last fantasy season ended, and we have much to dissect as we prepare for another fun season. This offseason we"ve seen: Eagles coach Chip Kelly dismantle a 10-6 team, scrubbing away virtually any fingerprints former coach Andy Reid still had on the franchise. But the bizarre off-season sideshow is just about in the rear-view mirror and we"re about to embark on another quest for fantasy glory. For the next four weeks, this column will focus on helping you prepare for the season with draft strategies and the latest information on preseason player performance and injuries. Let"s start first by reviewing some of the bigger names who have swapped teams and discuss how their fantasy value is affected. Teams coached by McCoy"s new boss, Rex Ryan, usually do two things " play great defense and pound the rock with the running game. But Ryan"s defense usually is good enough to keep his team in games, allowing him to continue to run the ball. Ryan is inheriting a darn good Bills defense that finished first last season in sacks and fourth in both yards and points per game. So McCoy should be able to get carries for four quarters a game.
