An Interactive Map of the proposed Helena train horn quiet zone - Helena Independent Record

Helena City leaders want a quiet zone for train horns. In order to do so, they'll have to get support from Montana Rail Link and the Montana Department of Transportation. And, in order to get their support, safety measures will have to be installed at six different places where the tracks intersect the road. The blue line represents an area where a train horn would be prohibited. Red markers and yellow markers indicate areas where change will be needed. The black marker is the Montana Rail Link train yard. Green markers indicate roads that pass over or under the train tracks. For more information about any individual intersection, click a marker.
