While the investigation into the mysterious death of Alberto Nisman appears to be in a deadlock, the probe into a money-laundering scheme involving the former AMIA special prosecutor’s inner circle is moving forward more quickly. Federal Judge Rodolfo Canicoba Corral will be questioning Nisman’s mother, Sara Garfunkel, and her daughter Sandra Nisman along with Diego Lagomarsino, the IT expert who reportedly lent Nisman the gun that killed him. Nisman’s ex-wife, Federal Judge Sandra Arroyo Salgado, was the one who told Fein of the account in March. The probe is in the hands of Canicoba Corral and federal prosecutor Juan Pedro Zoni, who seek to determine whether Nisman tried to whitewash funds.
