Limerick garage owner offers cash reward for Audi's return - Limerick Leader

A LOCAL business owner, whose Limerick garage was ransacked in a gang-related ‘rob-to-order’ operation, has said that he is willing to give a “decent cash reward” for the return of an Audi RS4 supercar that was stolen recently. According to a garda source, the group of thieves may be part of a gang that specifically targets expensive Audi vehicles around the country. The source said that the men, who looted the yard between 1. 45am and 2. 30am on Friday morning, are more than likely not local. Owner William O’Connor, 24, said that he fears that he might have to close down the business in Raheen as, he said, the “damage is crippling”. After the three men “wrecked” the office to look for a logbook and keys, they then broke through a cast iron gate using the garage’s Volkswagen Passat and then drove away with the 2007 Audi RS4. Security footage seen by the Limerick Leader shows... The badly damaged Volkswagen is priced at €20,000, while the stolen vehicle is valued at €30,000, he said. Mr O’Connor, who is appealing for anyone with information to contact the gardaí, said that he has received support from people within the trade, locals and some of his previous customers.
