Notorious crime family member Patrick 'Patsy' Adams arrested in Holland - Telegraph.co.uk

Police said they wanted to talk to Mr Adams and his wife in connection with the shooting of a man in broad daylight in Clerkenwell, London. The shooting took place three days before Christmas on December 22 at 10 o’clock in the morning, when a man and woman approached a motorist who was sitting at the wheel of his black BMW X5 car and shot him in the chest. Witnesses described how the 51-year-old victim staggered from his car, which had been stationery at the junction of St John Street and Wycliff Street, close to City University, clutching his chest and screaming for help. Mr Adams was one of 11 children brought up in a working class Irish Catholic family in the Barsnbury area of Islington, close to where Tony Blair and his wife Cherie made their home before moving into Downing Street. Last year a judge ordered him to hand over £650,000 proceeds of crime, after Mr Adams failed to convince the court he had spent all his money. Mr and Mrs Adams were detained under a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) on behalf of the Metropolitan Police. Source: www.telegraph.co.uk
