BMW X1 Plug-In Hybrid Planned for 2016 - The News Wheel

The BMW X1 was first introduced in the United States for the 2013 model year after debuting first in Europe and Canada. According to BMW, the X1 is seeing a lot of sales growth in year-over-year sales comparison numbers. The luxury crossover is a challenge to other automakers in the crowded field, and it seems as if BMW is going to take a big step next year to help it stand out from the crowd. According to the British site Auto Express, the next BMW x1 will be available as a plug-in hybrid, at least in Europe. Auto Express backed its story up with several spy photographs, where BMW has helpfully labeled the camouflaged X1 as “Hybrid Test Vehicle. ” Supposedly a 2. 0-liter gas engine will assist the electric motor, and it will still have the power you expect from the BMW X1.
