The new G11 and G12 models will use petrol engines with three different cylinder configurations: a four, six and the V8. The entry-level petrol, sold under the 730i badge, will produce 260 horsepower from the new 2. 0 liter four-cylinder engine... The next petrol model is the 740i powered by a new 3. 0 liter six-cylinder engine (B58B30M0) with an output of 330 hp. The powerful V8 TwinTurbo is the same unit (N63B44O2) as the one used in the current generation 750i and 750Li. So the power is... The entry level diesels are said to be the most efficient engines ever seen with unprecedented low CO2 levels. The first would pair the electric drivetrain to a four cylinder engine (730e) while the second one to a more powerful six-cylinder (740e).
