The Germans are already working on the next-gen 7 Series, scheduled to arrive for the 2016 model year, but the current model is still getting all the attention it deserves. Especially in Japan, a country known for the numerous limited-edition models hitting its showrooms. For 2015, it’s the 7 Series’ turn to spawn a special-edition — dubbed Executive Edition — presents itself as a more upscale, better-equipped version of the company’s base 7 Series. Styling-wise, the 740i Executive Edition is identical to the entry-level 7 Series we can buy in the United States, with only an exclusive set of wheels setting it apart. Also, exterior colors are limited to only three choices — Alpine White, Mineral White Metallic and, Black Sapphire — all of which are suited to dress a limited-edition model the size and elegance of a 7 Series. For reference, the U. S. -spec sedan can be had in no less than 11 exterior hues, plus four BMW Individual options. Interior The interior is wrapped in Dakota leather — a standard feature on the U.
