2016 BMW 6 Series and M6 Refreshed - Motor Trend

Major changes to the 2016 BMW 6 Series begin with restyled kidney grilles, which have a new shape and now pack only nine, rather than ten, vertical grille slats. On 2016 BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe models (the four-door accounts for nearly half of all 6 Series sales), the C-pillar trim and window have been reshaped, and a black aluminum trim pieces features embossed "Gran Coupe" lettering. The 2016 BMW 6 Series also receives two new option packages. The Black Accent treatment consists of BMW's Shadow Line gloss-black interior trim, as well as gloss-black kidney grille bars, gloss-black exhaust tips, unique 19-inch, and a cognac/black Nappa leather interior with brown wood trim. The new M Sport Edition pack essentially combines the existing M Sport and Executive packages, giving buyers 20-inch M wheels, an M steering wheel, and M body kit, as well as a leather-covered dashboard, cooled front seats, and soft-closing doors. The 2016 BMW 640i has a 315-hp turbocharged 3. 0-liter inline-six and an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the 650i packs a 445-hp twin-turbo 4. 4-liter V-8 and an eight-speed auto. Rear-wheel-drive is the only configuration, but buyers can pick between a seven-speed dual-clutch and a six-speed manual transmission. Source: wot.motortrend.com
