A year later, I married Garry in a small ceremony at Four Seasons Retreat in Upper Economy, Nova Scotia. The BMW’s duty was to get us to the Retreat then off to Prince Edward Island for our honeymoon. It was obvious I was running a fever and had developed a raucous cough. We decided to drive to the Island anyway, hoping I would feel better. My seat in the BMW was reclined as far as it could go on the ride to our ‘honeymoon,’ where my fever reached dangerously high levels. It was a month before what turned out to be pneumonia finally cleared up. To this day, my romantic husband jokes about how ‘hot’ I was on our honeymoon and how clean the BMW was.
