Pharr employee arrested on felony theft charges - Monitor

Jackson is accused of illegally using a former employer’s bank account to pay for his personal auto insurance, according to the criminal complaint. Jackson’s former employer, Dr. Osama Nahas, who owns Crosspoint Medical Clinic at 2505 W. Trenton Road, Edinburg, said as office manager, Jackson had access to the account information. He was in charge of the bank account to pay (the clinic’s) bills and payroll. Jackson stopped working for Nahas in May 2012 after at least five years of working for him. For his part, Jackson said he is innocent, saying that he was unaware that the company was paying for the insurance. He said that the company paid for the insurance while he was an employee. Nahas said he never agreed to pay for Jackson’s auto insurance when he was an employee. Instead, he said he paid Jackson a weekly gas stipend. Source: www.themonitor.com
