28th annual All Car Rally rumbles into Belle this weekend - Black Hills Pioneer

Sam Silacci, of Black Hills Auto Care in Belle Fourche, returns for his second year as chairman of the All Car Rally. He’s loved cars since he was a kid fixing trucks and tractors on a dairy farm in California, and he brought that love with him to South Dakota, where he met many others with the same obsession at the All Car Rally, a long-standing Father’s Day... This year he plans on entering his ’71 Buick Skylark in Saturday’s show and shine event at Herrmann Park, but he also has a ’49 Chevy Coupe, a ’73 Dodge Dart, and “a whole pile of Jeeps” in his fleet. Silacci said he’s very excited about this year’s All Car Rally, and noted that he hoped the rain would stay away this year. This year’s Rally schedule of events includes a car show, a block party with live music, and a burnout exhibition at Scott Peterson Motors at 30 5th Ave. The festivities start at 6 p. m. and run until 10 p. m. The burnout exhibition runs from 8-8:30 p. m. The event is free and open to the public. During the main Show-N-Shine event on Saturday, at Belle Fourche’s Herrmann Park, food vendors, product vendors, games, and more will be available to the public, along with, of course, the cars. Registration for Saturday’s car show runs from 8-10 a. m. The event is free and open to the public. Source: www.bhpioneer.com
